| Formerly based in Samui and operated as a part of a Jet Boat Ride company, the boat is now out of the water, on its trailer and located in Bangkok. The boat is an 8 meter jet boat producing 440BHP, that was specially imported into Thailand and there is a long waiting list for new boats of this kind. The
hull is aluminum. The boat is powered by a Hamilton Marine Jet and Yanmar diesel
engine with only 450 working hours. Unfortunately, just prior to COVID, sand
caused damage to the actual jet and the boat right now is in need of repair.
The boat used to operate 4 times a day normally, but in peak season 6 times a day, 6 days a week with each ride lasting around 20 minutes and for up to 12 passengers and 2 crew members. Ticketing was done direct or through agencies and was typically THB 1,800 per person per ride. Due to the speed of the boat, customers were not allowed to take cameras or phones onboard, so the company made their own videos of each ride and up-sold these to customers. There are many possibilities with this boat in terms of where it could operate and the ride/tour structure. It would make a handsome addition to an existing boat charter or tour business, but is equally appealing as a new venture as tourism begins to open up again. Having purchased the boat for around THB 13 million, the price is excellent. It awaits your inspection and assessment. |
